Music

This music is a collaboration with two brilliant friends. Kim Ratcliffe and Brad Cheeseman Make up the other two thirds of ” On Topic”. I am very proud of our work and what began as a simple jam session has grown into some beautiful music.

I dedicate this CD to my incredible wife Julie who literally saved my life when she gave me one of her kidneys. I gave her the pet name Jewel as she has been very precious to me. The recording was done about 8 months before my kidney transplant.

During the winter of 2008 my friend Vernon Reid came up to Toronto to play with my Band. It was one of the coldest days that winter but his enthusiasm and beautiful playing warmed the stage. It was a very special evening!

I had been writing a fair amount of music in the late 1990s and decided to put out a CD. I was mainly a side man at the time so I ask some of my friends to play on the recordings. I was lucky to have Vernon Reid, Oteal Burbridge, and many others bless me with their talents. It is dedicated to my sister Charmaine.
